A Prayer For My Children

O Lord God
From heaven so bright
Shower Your children with light

O Lord God
Show them Your love
And sing them songs from heaven above

Amen

What is a Man?

Speak from thy heart my son,
What is a man?
Is he powerful?
Strong in the sinews and muscles?
Is he lustful?
Swinging his libido back and forth?
Is he prideful?
Hiding his torn soul beneath boasts and hot air?
Or is he chivalrous?
Protecting damsels from beasts?
Tell me then,
Would a man be gentle?
Speaking soft words from an opposite tongue?
Or would he hold the reins of flesh?
Never defiling the Lord's temple?
If I were you, my son, I would say the last is the greatest.

dark

Mine eyes are dim,
And thy shadows loom,
Dark,
Is the world,
Cruel and lacking of the bliss,
In old mother Frith's tales,
Dark,
Is mine past,
For through it,
Thy hearts were trampled,
Dark,
Is the ambition,
Cold and heartless,
As Uther Pendragon one must be,
Dark,
Is the swiftness of noggins,
Lack of the heart one must endure,
Light,
Is life,
Training it is for Eden,
Light,
Is love,
A great smile to a lady's face,
Light,
Is Christ,
Love and life for all.

The Voice Of Love

Ah hear the voice,
The voice of love,
Struggling free in this broken world,
Hark! for the greens and soil have been torn asunder by
Footsteps of human's evil,
Listen! The voice of the Lord cries out!
The awesome but tender voice of love,
Take the match of love's light,
And ignite the desire to care and to see,
The daily bread of people forgotten,
The absence of warmth in the Artic of man,
The shadow of man's light,
For ours is the duty and watchword,
To love and be the salt of the earth,
Though pens and swords shall come,
The Lord is our shield, our strength,
So thereforth go!
Go and spread the power of love to the unloved,
The care for the abused,
And keep watch that thy household shall not falter within.

Ode to sleeping forest

Yonder on the valleys,
There stands a tow'r,
It breaks the birds and their
world,
And lo! Below the tow'r
lies the forest,
The devil's garden,
The green death,
All hath been said but no mortal
passes,
For only there hath been a
greater crossing than this,
Of yonder Moses and the red sea,
Deep within the forest,
Home to the greatest beast,
Fangs that level mountains and break waves
O fangs! tear the lifeblood of the mortal,
For they have tread unaware,
In the sleeping forest....

the moonlight serenade

On the night of the moonlight fade,
Strides the shadow of gray,
Licking at the heels of it's master,
There is no demon, no evil,
But a ghost of no past,
No future, no present,
It walks down the streets of blood,
Singing to the tune of its once
live soul, but is no more,
This is the moonlight serenade....

The man in the mirror

I woke up one day
and looked at a
mirror,
And this is what I see:
"A man,filled with
coal in his soul,
Eyes so dark,
They turn a Medusa
to stone,
Expression so dull,
They put a zombie to shame."
I went to bed,
I said:
"What lies beneath my soul?
Causing such madness?
Bringing me down."
I woke up the next day
and heard a voice saying:
"A man is what he
feels he is."
I looked in the mirror
again,
And this is what I saw:
"A man,filled with
jewels in his heart,
Full of aspiring dreams,
Eyes so bright,
They shine like diamonds,
A smile so sweet,
It melts a frozen heart,
And a face so happy,
It brings joy to anyone
who sees it."

Numero Uno

As I walk,
On the fields green,
On the sidewalk grey,
I asked,
"Who is my numero uno?"
I have the answer,
But it wasn't the answer
I expected,
It wasn't the Lord,
It was something else,
The bell has rung,
The sirens sounded,
It's time to arise from
this sleeping death,
And soar the skies,
To stand firm,
Like a house,
Built on a rock,
With the Lord my God,
My numero uno.

The Man in the Garden

I saw a man in the garden,
He had fairness of the skin
and attitude,
Immortalizing trees,
With the touch of the button,
Strumming the strings of his guitar,
Singing to the flowers,
I saw the flowers,
Dancing with the wind,
And the man,
Watching every move it makes,
I wonder until today,
Who is that man
that I saw in the garden?

The Wind

One cold Sunday morning,
A sharp ,piercing wind greeted
me,
It cut through my body like
a double edged sword,
One hot,Monday midday,
A dry,warm wind came
to me,
It reminded me of reality
like a slap,
One cool, Tuesday afternoon,
A gentle breeze visited me,
Giving me comfort and cooling
my hot head and heart,
The wind,
How would life be
without it.....
